Comic Books
Is the child safe comic books to read? Is there any rating agency out there?
I am afraid that what I read in comics child too hard. If a TV show assessed how mature readers will need then it may need to be the same for comic books as well. Is there a site I can go to that will have this information?
I Marvel already know the scoring system in place for their comics, and I believe many other comics, too. If your child is buying comics at the comic shop, you have to walk in there too (Or a phone call) and ask about the title of your child's reading. Most comic shops run by the owner himself and is very knowledgeable and willing to help. Or you can try google search for the title for yourself and see what kind of hits generated from it and judge accordingly. Keep in mind also there are a few comics a young child can take that will be as many violence, nudity, or inappropriate language as an R rated movie.
